Being Aware to Self Enslavement

And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. (2 Kings 17:17 KJV)
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. (John 8:34 NLT)
When a human decided to do evil, he actually surrendered himself into slavery. While as a Christian, we usually not being aware of this simple truth. That's why most of the times, we Christians ended up in a vicious circle, going around and around in the same hole. So how do we break this chain of slavery?
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
So basically, we need to make a confession before God. Ask for God's forgiveness, and also strength of the Holy Spirit so that we may be delivered from the bond to the sin.
Confession and repentance is what Jesus taught at Mark 1:15, also mentioned in the prayer Jesus taught to the disciples, "Forgive us our debts" (Matthew 6:12a).
Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. (James 5:16)
Last, we sometimes fell into a deep dark hole of sin that bounds us really strong. That's the time when we need our spiritual leaders, church communities, brothers in arm.
We as Christians will barely survive in nowadays world, where acts of sin are promoted, compromise being accepted, injustice and violence are common..
So, it is critical for us Christians to find a healthy and strong church community, get involved, and just planted firmly so that we are surrounded by spirit led people instead of people who commits the work of the flesh.
Being holy is the true freedom.

Live The Truth, be a happy Christian
